Training Policy
Cancellations & Refunds

If you cannot attend a session and need to cancel, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the session to avoid being marked as a "No Show".

Credits may be applied to future sessions with prior notice; refunds are not typically issued due to the digital nature of our webinars and self-paced trainings.

Cancelling within 48 hours of a session, being a no-show, or arriving more than 30 minutes late to one session will result in cancellation of the remaining sessions.

If CHEPL cancels a session, registered participants will be notified by email or phone and may choose to reschedule or receive a credit. Trainings may be canceled if enrollment is insufficient or due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, technical issues).

State Approval
All trainings are listed in the Georgia Professional Development System (GaPDS) and accepted by Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and count toward professional development hours.
Fees & Payment

Payment must be received before the training date to complete registration.
We accept accept online payments using all major credit cards as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Affirm.
Certificates & Credit
To receive training credit:

Attend the full training.
-
Participate as required.
-
Log in using your name as listed in GaPDS.
-
Complete any required assignments, including the training evaluation.
Certificates are issued via email upon instructor verification and successful completion of the session and training evaluation.
Note: You will not receive credit if you arrive 15 minutes or more late or leave early.

Training Policy
Please review the following policies before submitting your registration. These apply to all trainings—in-person, webinar, and self-paced.

Before You Register

All registrations must be completed through the CHEPL.org website. After navigating to the appropriate page, select your training of choice and follow the directions to register.

All participants must pre-register and pay applicable fees to attend.

Enrollment is processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
Registration is not confirmed until payment is received and a confirmation email is issued.
-
We do not collect fees at the class—payment must be made in advance.

Once your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email containing details for your session. Please read this carefully, as it includes all access information.

Participants must be able to fluently read and write English, unless otherwise indicated in the training description.
Attendance & Participation

Participants must attend the full duration of the training.

Participants arriving 15 minutes after the start time may not be allowed entry.
-
Credit will not be given for late arrivals, early departures, or extended absences.
-
Active participation is required (chat, discussions, breakout rooms, etc.).

Per DECAL guidelines, participants may not actively care for children during training.
Professional Etiquette

Please remain attentive, avoid side conversations, and silence devices.

Trainers reserve the right to remove participants who are disruptive or inattentive.
For Webinars (Live Online Sessions)

Please download and test Zoom prior to your session.

Plan to log in 10 minutes early to ensure access.

You must attend the full training to receive credit.

Arriving 15+ minutes late or leaving 15+ minutes early means no certificate will be issued.

To foster interaction, we encourage you to use the chat function during the session.
Self-Paced Courses

Course access is delivered via email within one business day after purchase.

You will receive instructions for logging into the platform to complete your course.

You have 1 year of access from the purchase date.
-
To pass, participants must score 80% or higher on all quizzes.
-
Certificates are automatically available upon completion of a training evaluation.

Accessing and Navigating Online, Self-paced Courses
How to Access Your Course
You can access your course in two ways:
Option 1: Through Your Email

Check your email inbox for the Course Enrollment Confirmation email.

Click the "Access Course" link in the email

You'll be directed straight to your course
Option 2: Through the CHEPL Website

Visit the CHEPL website
-
If not logged in, click the “Login” button located in the top, right corner of the home page. Log in with your email and password.

Click the downwards arrow in the top, right corner of the home page. If already logged in, select the “My Programs” button
-
Under the Active tab, find the course you’re enrolled in. Select “View Program” to begin the course.

Navigating Your Course
Once you're in your course, there will be a panel to the left of the video presentation, outlining the steps of the course. The video presentation is located in the middle. You may scroll down within the video presentation window to view additional content (e.g., resources, links, information). To exit the course, click the “Return to Profile” button at the top of the page.
Follow these steps to move through the content:
Completing Steps:

Before you begin, check your audio volume levels. Please ensure your device volume is turned up and not muted

To begin, click on the play button. Watch the video lesson or read the content on your screen

When you've finished reviewing the material, look at the bottom left corner of the screen
-
Click the "Complete Step" button (or checkmark icon)
-
This marks the step as complete and unlocks the next section
Moving Between Pages:

Click "Next Page" (bottom right) to move forward to the next lesson or step
-
Click "Previous Page" (bottom right) to go back and review earlier content
-
You can also use the course menu/sidebar to jump to specific sections (if available)
Taking Quizzes:

Pulse Checks and Quizzes appear as part of your course content
-
Read each question carefully and select your answer
-
Review your results and any feedback provided
-
Click "Submit" (bottom left) when you've completed all questions - you must do this before moving on to the next page.

After finishing the quiz or pulse check, click “Next Page” (bottom right) to move forward to the next lesson or step
Tracking Your Progress:

Your progress is automatically saved as you complete each step
-
You can see your overall course completion percentage in the left panel on the course page.

Completed steps will show a blue checkmark icon

Certificate of Completion

Certificates of Completion are issued upon successful completion of the training course and evaluation survey. Unless otherwise noted in the course description, all courses are accepted by Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and counts toward professional development hours.

After completing the course, you will receive an email from Certifier, containing a link to your certificate of completion. If you do not see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folders.

After receiving the email, click “View Credential”. You’ll then be taken to a webpage containing a preview of the training certificate and the options to download and share.
